Before I start squealing about The Dark Knight: Has anyone on my f-list read Soon I Will Be Invincible by Austin Grossman? I read it last week all in one sitting and wow! For comic book fans, it's a must-read. A spoof of the comic book genre, but still a great book. One of the reviews on the inside compared it to Chabon with comics and after that I had to buy it. One of the two narrators is Dr. Impossible, a Lex Luthor type, and he's one of my new favorite characters. So. READ IT. I want that fandom to exist!

I SAW THE DARK KNIGHT LAST NIGHT! We got there and our pre-ordered tickets weren't working so we went to Guest Service and they couldn't find them so we got irritated and just snuck in. Then, after the previews, my friend (the one who bought the tickets) goes, "Oh... I think I bought tickets at another theater," and we all proceeded to call him various names.

But ZOMG! The movie!

That was a really freaking long post. But now there's a repeat of the Pysch season premiere, so I'm off! And bonus points to anyone that understands my subject title without Googling it.

Sorry for posting so much and hogging up all your friend's lists. I should be back to posting once or twice a week, if that, fairly soon. Anyway, someone asked me today what my favorite Bones moment was, and I thought about it a lot. (Probably a little too much, but damn I love that show) I ended up ignoring all the funny moments or the kiss or Tony and Roxie or King of the Lab competitions or saving each other/comforting each other, and thought of the scene where it gives me the tingles every time I watch it. It's serious but sweet, nice background music, has a "guy" hug, and has a nice family moment too. (Plus, I just adore the look Brennan gives) Not to mention I made my best friend Caroline watch this scene, then she decided to watch the whole episode, and after that the whole show. And this, after months of trying to persuade her!

Here's a random post about Head Count.

I guess I never posted about this (nothing in the HC tags??), but quite some time ago someone approached me (PMed me on the HPFF forums, actually) about making Head Count into a podcast. I obviously agreed, even though I don't really listen to the HPFF podcasts, personally.

Anyways, this all happened many months ago, I can't even remember when, and after many months of not being in touch with the person who offered (coincidentally, the same person who was looking through the lost stories thread for the story - check the tag), we finally got to talking again. He has some computer issues right now, but as soon as he gets them fixed, he hopes to get to work on the podcast. He said if all goes well, he thinks it will be out around mid-August. If not, I imagine it'd be sometime shortly in the fall.

Right when I had given up on the whole thing, it's all coming back together. Score.

Anyway, that's all.

It is my last day in Vienna... :( I am so sad to be leaving tonight. Well, tomorrow, but basically tonight. I can't wait to go get all my pictures printed though, its been such a great trip. Last night we had this big farewell dinner with free wine (which ultimately turned out to be both good and bad, I will have more details later)

When I went to visit the house today, Mom found a bag with 2 boy shirts she had bought a few years ago that were never used. So later when we went to Central Park, we saw two little boy shoe shiners. Sadly, this is a common thing in Guatemala. A lot of times the children have to work to support the family. We went up to the two boys (both of them had hands that were stained black from the shoe stuff) and we gave them the shirts. They were so happy! You could tell they didn't get new clothes much because they kept stroking the tags. Now I feel really good.


Sorry for not posting. I haven't had much time to go on the computer, and when I do it's only enough time to read my friend's page and check my email. Plus, I really suck at describing things. Which figures, considering how much I love writing.

On another note, I'm thinking of getting a paid account so I can do the 100 icons thing. 15 isn't enough for me. Seriously, I'm addicted to collecting icons. I have hundreds saved on my computer. I just have to convince my mom. After that I need to figure out how to do mood icons here. I want either an Angel/Cordelia or Booth/Brennan mood icon.

Oh, and for the first time in a very long time I'm excited about writing again. Lately it's felt more like an obligation than something I enjoy doing, you know? But a few days ago I came up with a Bones series idea, and I am very happy about it. I started writing it with my friend, but she's kind of uncomfortable with the idea of writing fanfic for something that's not a book., So yeah, that's kind of a hassle. On the subject of Bones, a few days ago I bought the entire first season of Bones at the mercado for only 90 Q, which is a little under 10 dollars. They didn't have season 2 though, so I plan to buy it on amazon when I get back. And they had Buffy, but only season 1. I asked if they had seaons 2,3, and 5 (my favorites) and they said that they'd have them by tomorrow. Of course, it's Guatemala, so it'll take longer.

I just love how cheap everything is here.

I'm currently studying abroad in Spain, and there are a few songs that I've been hearing at discotecas everywhere that I'd like get my hands on...

Hello everyone!

So latest life updates. So many! Its insane!

I got a boyfriend. :) His name is Larry, and he's 20 and has a 9 month year old baby. Now, I'm 18. So that's not much of an age difference. Actually, he's only a year and a half older then myself so honestly it's not bad. I respect him completely and he respects me just the same back. He treats me well, and he understands the fact that I might not want to meet Connor (his baby) very soon. It's just... way too soon for that and I'm a little nervous. I know I shouldn't be. The nice thing about him though is that he doesn't want to rush me into doing things that I don't want to do. He's just so considerate. He always doubles checks to make sure he's not doing anything to make me uncomfortable and I just really enjoy his company. He is kind. He also has a very different personality. Something that I'm not quite use to so it's taking me a little time to get use to it =]

Anyways, yesterday we went to the river. :) Which was lots of fun. He and I just walked along the beach side of it or whatever you want to call it and just held each others hands and talked. I noticed that his best physical feature has to be his eyes. I could just get lost in his eyes. They are this beautiful shade of blue that I'm not use to seeing. Goodness, he comes from such a large family. He's number 7 out of 13 kids. o_O Its quite insane. But on brighter note, we have the same beliefs and so we can openly talk about things and get along very well. We're even the same religiously which makes it a lot more comfortable. The last boyfriend I had was very atheist so it was rather awkward whenever that topic got brought up.

So I am considering watching The Chronicles of Narnia I'm listening to the soundtrack right now anyways. I always forget how much i enjoy that soundtrack. But I'm not quite sure. :) Depends on my mood. I am actually thinking about searching for a mood theme. =] See where my search takes me. I am very happy and content with my life. Which is an amazing feeling since I haven't felt this content in a long time. Currently re-reading the Harry Potter series which is nice. :)

Anyways, I'm off. I hope everyone has been well!
